McKay
Dymek DR22
Model C (with ANL). These are extremely rare and well sought
after. McKay Dymek shortwave receivers were produced in limited numbers
from 1977 to 1980. They have a distinct 1970's hi-fi component style
which is somewhat unique for a communications receiver. Many early PLL
type receivers exhibited phase noise and intermod problems but the DR 22
and DR 22C were nothing short of excellent in these areas. Ideal for the
DXer or vintage home audio enthusiast to complement there rack!. It is
in very good cosmetic condition and has no faults whatsoever, it is
extremely sensitive and accurate. It comes with original full Service and Owners
Manuals, plus a couple of McKay literatures. As pers MK letters (with
docs) an i.f gain pot has been added to rear panel and the std 8kz
filter has been replaced with a 4khz, (reversable and orig 8k filter
supplied).

Was
simply ground breaking when it was released in 1973. It was aportable,
transistorized, (15, +11 diodes, 1 i.c) and above all delivered an
affordable implementation of Wadley's triple conversion lock and drift
compensating principles that made the Racal and other PLL receivers a
success.
Working well, better than average external condition,
but has badly rusted rusty bottom and damaged
battery tray. Has external power adaptor temp wired in. Missing log
cards under handle and dial cover. Serial #1710

AM/FM
TransOceanic Royal 3000-1
The Model 3000 is a nine-band radio, including AM, seven shortwave
bands, and—for the first time in any TransOceanic—FM. It was introduced
in the 1963 model year and manufactured until 1971, when it was replaced
by the R-7000.
The detachable WaveMagnet was eliminated in this model to make room
for the extra FM circuitry. The WaveMagnet name is still used, however,
embossed on the integral antenna mounted beneath the handle. Highly
collectable.

The
rack-mounted Drake MSR-2 is a laboratory grade marine receiver
manufactured in Miamisburg, Ohio, between 1974-78. A table-top version
of the receiver, the DSR-2, was identical electrically, except that it
lacked the low frequency preselector. The MSR-2 followed the MSR-1 and
DSR-1 receivers, manufactured from 1971-74.
Operating Impressions: The MSR-2 is a fine receiver, and the noise
blanker is one of the best I've ever used. The Nixie tube displays are
easier to read than modern LCD and LED displays. The digital frequency
selection is a bit clunky by modern standards, but works well. The best
performance feature of the MSR-2 is its VLF capability. The tunable
preselector covers 10-500 kHz in four bands and renders the receiver
virtually immune to front-end overload. The receiver can withstand 1000
volts of peak RF voltage without
